Montezumas Well and Montezuma Castle National Monument - The Montezuma Well, formed when the brittle roof of an underlying limestone cavern to collapsed, is over 50 feet deep. Over 1.5 million gallons of 76 degree water a day still flow through the bottom of the well and move through a 300 ft long cave, eventually exiting at the southeast side of the mound, into an ancient irrigation ditch constructed by the first inhabitants.
Montezuma Castle, the ancient cliff dwellings of the Sinagua Indians, is one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in North America. Experience the legacy of an ancient native people that built this incredible “apartment complex” into the cliffs above the valley below. Chapel of the Holy Cross and Bell Rock Vortex - The Chapel of the Holy Cross, completed in 1956, is considered Marguerite Brunswig Staudes’ masterpiece. Located in between Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek, it took nearly 20 years of planning, a special use permit (National Forest land), and 18 months of construction to build what today stands as one of Sedona’s most beautiful manmade attractions. Located on a Vortex site, this stop on your way to Bell Rock will be the perfect start to your tour/meditation.
Bell Rock. Upflow Vortex (also called electric or masculine site). A powerful Vortex site with enhanced energy locations that facilitate prayer, meditation, mind/body healing, and exploring your relationship with your Soul and the divine.
